Kitchen Fitting
Installation Philosophy
Way back in 1997 when Darren and Colin opened The Little Kitchen Factory they had a desire to do things a little different. With the majority of kitchen studios using sub-contracted fitters and with all the problems that can bring, they wanted to have their own, employed, installation teams.
Obviously that meant their order book had to be strong enough to keep these fitters busy, week in week out. Difficult with a new business without a previous customer base providing recommendations.
The answer was that Colin and Darren did what they knew best and went out fitting and when they were not fitting for themselves they were fitting for other companies.
Slowly the order book got stronger and stronger. The need to work for others declined and by 2001 they were in a position to employ their first kitchen fitter.
As the company got more and more established so they employed more and more fitters. As the electrical regulations changed to include ‘Part P’ domestic testing and certification they were one of the very first kitchen companies to become ‘Part P’ registered. In fact Darren has just completed (Nov. 2018) the new 18th Edition electrical qualification, again one of the very first in the country to have passed this.
So the dream team is complete, it’s taken many years but to have the level of specialist skills on board that can be managed as required is perfect.
The result, top quality installations finished on time, on budget and with totally satisfied customers. Philosophy sorted!
